Thank you for your interest in submitting your application via our online tool. You may use the applicant portal to apply for the EpiCrossBorders: International Helmholtz-Edinburgh Research School for Epigenetics. In order to start the application you need to register. Once registered, your username and password for the site will be sent to your email address for access to the application website.

When filling out the application in the applicant portal, we will inquire personal information, such as your name and your contact data, your professional history, your education, and your assessment of specific job-related qualifications. Moreover, you will be enabled to upload individual application documents (e.g. motivation letter, certificates). The data will only be stored in the data base after you have saved or submitted the application.

Use of your data

By sending your application, you authorize us to use all the data and information and to make it accessible among the individuals involved in the selection and hiring procedure. We may use your contact data to contact you via e-mail, regular mail or telephone. 

Please note that you can only update, change or delete the data in your application as long as you have not sent the application to us. Please make sure your application is complete. After the application has been sent, changes may only be made in accordance with the data protection rules and the data subjects’ “right of access”. Updating, storing and deleting your data

You may update, change or delete the data in your application in the applicant portal via your individually generated access, as long as you have not yet sent the application to us. To this end, it is sufficient to log in via the link sent to your e-mail address, to review your input, and to make the desired amendments with the available options. 

Having sent the application you may no longer change your applicant data via your individual access. 

Your answers and your information given in the application process will be stored together with your name for up to six months after completion of the application process. Thereafter, the results will only be stored for statistic assessments in an anonymized form. This data is used for statistical records and will not allow any conclusions as to your person. 

If your application is incomplete, or your referees have not submitted letters of recommendation, your entire application profile, with all personal data, will be deleted at the end of the application period.

Declaration of consent

By clicking the check box prior to registration, you agree to the collection, storage, use and transfer of your data according to the present privacy statement.
